The Prarthana Bhavan, (the hospital Chapel), located adjacent to the
eye dept. is a place of worship, prayer and singing. Everyone is welcome to this
house of prayer each morning. Prayer is offered for the sick and you may request
for prayer. You are welcome to join the doctors, nurses and the other members of
the staff of CMC as they congregate for the morning worship. At CMC Hospital the
day’s work begins with prayer and worship. The Prarthana Bhavan is open
for prayer between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Daily devotions are held in Hindi in the hospital Chapel.
There is also Regular Broadcasting of Spiritual songs and messages are relayed
to different wards in the hospital from 7 a.m to 5 p.m at intervals.
College Chapel:
The department arranges spiritual nurture meetings for the doctors and
students regularly:
i. Daily devotions are held in English in the college chapel where the staff and
administrators are involved. The chaplains lead in singing and devotions.
ii. Every Sunday Holy Communion Service is celebrated in English. CMC Staff,
Students, Doctors, their families and local people around CMC members take part
in the worship. The chaplains lead and share the Word of God. The worship
pattern varies with appropriate prayers written and songs are selected for
worship are according to the different themes on special occasions
iii. Special services are arranged for Independence Day, Republic Day, Founders
Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Leprosy Day, Aids Day, Medical Mission Day,
Christmas Eve, New Years night, Ash Wednesday, Passion Week.
iv. A regular Sunday school in English, primarily including the children of the
staff is undertaken every Sunday after Chapel. Coordinated the chaplain, the
students of the colleges join in leading and taking classes for kids.
v. Memorial Services are conducted for our staff who have deceased
vi. Mortuary Prayers are lead by the Chaplains for any Patient who has expired
on request of the relative.
vii. A neighborhood Bible study is organized on weekends (Fridays) in the
residence of the doctors, where senior doctors with their families interact
informally and discuss various topics related to the institution with a biblical
basis.
viii. Theological based bible studies are held for different groups of students
in College chapel. |
