The
Department has organized a number of workshops and conferences for
continuing medical education. It has faculty, which is nationally
recognised for above purposes. It is a centre for training doctors in
Maternal & Child Health Diploma of Indira Gandhi Open University. It is
also an accredited unit for training doctors and nurses in newborn care.
The
Department has a well planned out teaching schedule for
MBBS
students (graduate course). In addition, it is one of the five
institutions imparting preservice training in integrated management of
neonatal and childhood illnesses (IMNCI).
At postgraduate level, Diploma in Child Health
(DCH)
and a Doctoral Degree (MD)
programs are being carried out.
It is a centre for training doctors in Maternal & Child Health Diploma
(PGDMCH)
of Indira Gandhi Open University.
