The Department
of Cardiology is fully equipped with the facilities to provide state of
art care to the patients with cardiovascular diseases. The department in
addition to out patients facilities has got an 8 bedded ICCU with all
the facilities to manage the Acute Cardiac emergencies.
The Department of Cardiology is also actively involved in research and
teaching and is the only centre in the state of Punjab recognized for
super specialty training in Cardiology (DM Cardiology). It is also
recognized for in service training for Punjab Health System Corporation
Doctors for imparting clinical skill oriented hands on equipment based
training.
