Social Activities

 

Educational experience at CMC is full of social activities purpose being to bring out the best in our students and develop various talents such as art, music, dance, public speaking, writing and drama.

Welcome of freshers and new administrators in September.

Farewell to outgoing students and administrators in October.

New Year and all important festivals i.e. lohri, holi, diwali, onam.

Teacher’s day on 5th September is celebrated with fervor and gaiety by the nursing family.
 

Trips and Picnics
Throughout the year different batches of students go on educational trips and excursions to various places of interest.

 
Professional and Social Activities

 

All important days and events are observed; students, faculty and staff nurses participated with enthusiasm.

WHO Day on 7th April, Theme for the year 2007 was ‘WORKING OGETHER FOR HEALTH’.

Nurse’s day & week 12th may onwards, theme, ‘SAFE STAFFING SAVES LIVES’.

Republic and Independence Days are also celebrated with great patriotism. Students present national songs and 1st years take part in the parade.

World mental health day is observed every year. Students display posters and conduct health education for the public.

World Alzheimer’s week was observed in the month of October 2006, M.Sc (N) 2nd year students conducted scientific sessions, quiz for students and health teaching for the public. B.Sc. (N) 3rd years presented a well appreciated skits related to the theme.

Our students participated in the rally at SAARC Olympics for Recipients of organ transplant, organized by Dayanand Medical College at Guru Nanak Stadium; Ludhiana.

World Diabetes Day & Children’s day is an annual feature that is observed on 14th November. Students participate by displaying posters/exhibite and taking part in health checkup camp etc.

World AIDS Day is observed on 1st December by creating awareness among staff.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March. Declamation contest on ‘CHANGING ROLE OF WOMEN IN TODAY’S TIME’ was organized in 2007.

Other important days/weeks observed are communal harmony, World Breast Feeding week etc.
