undergraduate teaching audiovisual aids in the form of OHPs and LCD
projectors are used. Besides giving didactic lectures regular
seminars and tutorials are held. |

Department has a departmental library with around 480 books and some
international journals available for undergraduates and
postgraduates. |

The
Department holds regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions
on related current topics; as well as on Quality Control.

A
Northern Zone Symposium of Accreditation of Clinical Laboratories
was held in December 2003 attended by around 200 delegates from
States of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh. |

Postgraduate Research Programmes and projects:
The Department is actively involved in various research and thesis
projects with clinical and non-clinical specialties of the hospital.
Every year approximately 5 projects are taken up regularly. |
