Currently serving as a Visiting Consultant in Infectious Diseases, Dr. Chawla began her medical journey at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, graduating in 1997. She completed her post-graduation in Internal Medicine from Government Medical College, Patiala, and subsequently joined Fortis Hospital, Mohali, in 2001.
With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Chawla has worked across a broad spectrum of medical disciplines—from emergency care to preventive medicine—refining her diagnostic skills and deepening her expertise in managing both common and complex medical conditions.
Her keen interest in Infectious Diseases led her to pursue a Fellowship in General Infectious Diseases at Christian Medical College, Vellore, which she successfully completed in 2020. She is also actively involved in promoting rational antibiotic use and serves as the Convener of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee at her institution.
In January 2025, Dr. Chawla returned to her alma mater as a Visiting Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, continuing her commitment to excellence in patient care and infectious disease management.
